Slag / Oxblood

Slags mix transparent coloured glass with white swirls. Oxblood refers to a dense brick-red streak worked into the surface.

What to look for

  • Hold slags to light — the white should float inside the colour.
  • Oxblood should look opaque and slightly dry against glossy glass.
  • Both types reward strong colour saturation.
