Photo grading service
Send clear photos and we return a written grade: what the marble is, how it was made, what condition it is in, and what it is realistically worth in CAD.
What you send
Four photos per marble gives the most reliable read.
- Front — the strongest face of the pattern, filling the frame.
- Side — rotated ninety degrees so the pattern travel is visible.
- Seam / pontil — the cut-off, shear mark or seam area in focus.
- Scale — the marble beside a ruler or coin.
How to name the files
Use JM-###_view.jpg — for example JM-014_front.jpg, JM-014_side.jpg, JM-014_seam.jpg, JM-014_scale.jpg. Consistent names keep your submission together through grading and listing.
What you get back
A construction-first identification, a ten-point condition grade with notes, and a value range in CAD based on comparable sold results — not asking prices.
- Type and construction (core, ribbons, patches, seams).
- Likely maker family, always flagged as attributed by pattern, undocumented.
- Condition notes separating manufacturing marks from real damage.
- A CAD range, with the reasoning behind it.
What we will not do
We do not invent makers, years or provenance. If the photos do not support a call, we say so and tell you which extra shot would settle it.
