Divided Core
A divided core has separate ribbons or bundles of colour spaced around the centre, with clear glass gaps between them.
What to look for
- Three and four-panel divided cores are the usual arrangement.
- Even spacing and full-length ribbons are the quality signal.
- Look for outer strand coverage — bare gaps read as a weaker example.
