Lutz marbles contain finely ground goldstone, which throws a bright copper sparkle when the marble is turned under light.
What to look for
- Real lutz glitters in points, not as a flat metallic wash.
- Bands of lutz following the swirl are the classic layout.
- Photograph under directional light — flat light hides the sparkle.
