Latticinio Core
A latticinio core is a bundle of fine white or coloured threads twisted into a lattice down the centre of the marble, wrapped in outer bands of clear glass.
What to look for
- Count the outer bands and note whether they are even or crowded.
- Yellow, orange and blue lattice are less common than plain white.
- Look through the clear glass for haze, which knocks the eye appeal down.
