Indian & Banded Opaque
Indians are dark, near-black opaque marbles with bright surface bands. Banded opaques follow the same idea over other base colours.
What to look for
- Hold to a strong light — many 'black' Indians read deep amber or green.
- Bands should be glossy and sit flush with the surface.
- Surface wear is very visible on dark glass; grade conservatively.
